Gary Bullivant – Licensed Club President

Gary first became involved with the Tigers Organisation in the early seventies, and served the committee as Secretary from 1983 – 1989 and is also a past Treasurer. Elected President of the Licensed Club in 1993, (a position he still occupies today), Gary has also been a member of the football committee since the licensed club and football operations were separated. During this time the club has grown enormously under Gary’s leadership and has become a prominent and successful business supporting many and varied community activities.

In addition to the enormous amount of time and effort required to preside over an increasingly large business operations, he maintains an active interest in the development of the football operations of the Tigers (Gary enjoys the additional role of Sports Medicine Trainer, and has further assisted in the past by keeping club statistics for many years).

Gary has been recognised by the Licensed Club and Football Operations with Life Memberships being awarded in 1999 (Football) and 2001(Licensed Club) for his outstanding efforts as a voluntary official of the Tigers Organisation.

George Stevens – Director

George is a celebrated past player of the Tigers Football club. Now with the Commonwealth Public Service, George’s professional expertise compliments the Board’s considerable professionalism. An extended biography and photograph of George is coming soon.

Hugh Percy – Director

Hugh has extremely impressive professional credentials and compliments the Board of Directors with his expertise.

Employed in local government for 42 years in Albury, Gundagai and Queanbeyan, Hugh was Town Clerk/General Manager of Queanbeyan City from 1988 until he retired from council in 2004.

Soon after, he accepted appointment as Administrator to Walgett Shire and he now operates his own consultancy, Percy Consulting.

Hugh has been involved with the Tigers Club for many years, his son Matthew having also played with the Tigers.

Phil McClure – Director

Phil McClure

Phil joined the Tigers as player in 1986 and played an impressive 151 senior games including 6 grand finals for 3 premierships, and over 200 club games, the last in 1999.

In 1995, Phil was appointed Assistant Coach of the Reserve grade side and in 1996 was named Coach. In 1997 Phil shared the coaching role, and has been actively involved in coaching junior sides, the first in 1988.

Phil became Junior Club President in 1989 and held the position for 7 years and is currently Treasurer of the junior football club.

Since 1992 Phil has been a member of the Licensed Club Board of Directors and is the Club Secretary and a member of the Finance Committee. In 2001 he accepted the position of Treasurer of the Senior Football Club committee.

Phil’s tireless efforts have been recognised with Life Membership of both the junior and senior football clubs.

Mark Thompson – Director

Mark Thompson

Mark’s football career began in 1973 as an eight year old in the Queanbeyan Junior competition and he has been an active member of the club ever since.

Mark’s impressive football credentials include captaining the premiership winning Under 19 team in 1984 after winning the League Under 17 Best and Fairest in 1981 (following ACT league representation at the national level), and he subsequently played numerous first and reserve grade games until cut short by injury in 1994.

As coach of the Queanbeyan Under 19 side between 1986 – 1988, and Secretary of the Football Cub since 1992, Mark was deservedly awarded Football Club Life Membership in 2000.

Mark has been a member of the Tigers Club Board since 1995, and has forged a successful career as Principal of LJ Hooker Commercial, Canberra.
