2019 Round 4 Details & Preview

March 27, 2019 by

The Tigers tough month continues this weekend when they travel to the North Side to play the Belconnen Magpies.

The Tigers will be looking for the same effort when they take on the Magpies

There is no tougher game then playing the Magpies at home and this week will be no different. However the club coming off 3 stirring wins against old foes Eastlake, it should provide huge confidence to the group.

Our Rising Stars will be looking to bounce back following a disappointing effort last week. The young tigers will need to leave their last performance behind and look to rebuild in the coming weeks, so much talent in this group and hopefully they continue to improve.

Another solid defensive effort from the Tigers Super twos last weekend and this week they will need to do it again. The magpies boost a very strong forward line and it will take the experienced twos combination their best to continue their winning ways.

The 1st Grade men’s squad will look to maintain their improvement as they clash with the James Bennett coached Pies. Traditionally these two teams provide an outstanding match and Saturday could well be another epic. The tigers may be forced to make a couple of changes from last week but with the depth in the club being very strong any player selected will value add for sure, should be a belter this one.

Who will be the flag favorites after this weekend in the Women’s 1st grade? That will be the question answered following this weeks games with the 4 heavy waits going head to head, Ainslie vs. Eastlake and Tigers vs. Magpies. Our Tigerettes will once again be tested by the strong pies outfit who only lost two games last season, however our girls are in form and like the men’s games this should also be a cracking contest.

Our Women’s Reserve Grade coming off a really positive performance against the Lions will again be tested at home when Cootamundra head to Queanbeyan. The team is really gelling well and showcase the depth in our women’s teams, they should welcome back a host of players this week to strengthen an already strong outfit.

The Tigerettes will look to young gun Jayde Hamilton to perform well again this week.
