Under 9s Reports

The Biajag U9s
Round 2 – 12/5/2012

The Biajag Constructions Under 9s travelled to Hughes oval on a relatively mild autumn night on Friday.
Everyone turned up very excited about the opportunity to play under lights for the first time.

The tigers black and gold played teams from the Eastlake club ,with both games providing great entertainment for all in attendance.

The skill level by all players was pleasing to see , in particular the fast running and sharing of the football was terrific ,with the umpire struggling to keep up with the game at times.

Also the ability of players to man up and tackle [ grab and release ] when we didn’t have the ball was a big improvement from our first game.
All players listen to instructions at training and before kick off which showed in the game.
Well done everyone.

The Biajag U9s
Round 1 – 5/5/2012

The Biajag Constructions Under 9s played their first game for the year at Dairy Farmers Park against the Tuggeranong lions on a glorious autumn day.

After just one training session prior to the game a good performance was put in by all players.

The speed of the games and the introduction of the grab and release rule at Under 9 level tested players from both sides.

The skills shown by the team to pass the ball by handball and kicking improved throughout the game as everyone got to know each other, this will be a priority throughout the year, to play as a team in a fun and learning environment where everyone gets a go.

Training will be on Thursday 4.30pm to 5.15pm

I look forward to the rest of the season and watch the kids learning and loving our great game.
