Klemke to become 95th Member of the 100 Club

The words "Club Greats" is a familiar saying at the Queanbeyan Tigers with so many players and officials over the years being absolute stars for the club and achieving numerous premierships and accolades.

Quade, Wynd, Armstrong, Muir, Gilbert, Dore and Williams to name a few are some of the "Club Greats" to have represented the football club over the years and I am sure when he finally calls time on his career the name Klemke will be right up there as well if it isn't already!

On Saturday, Kade Klemke will play his 100th 1st Grade game for the tigers which will add another accolade to his already impressive playing resume by being the 95th player to be inducted as a Full Member of the prestigious Tigers 100 Club.

The 3 x Premiership player, 2 as Senior Coach and 3 x Tony Wynd Medalist B&F

has been waiting for this moment for a while now and probably thought it may have escaped him during his recent coaching stint at NEAFL level.

However with the Covid Pandemic that ultimately shut down the 2020 NEAFL competition allowed Kade to return to his beloved tigers where now he will reach the magical milestone.

Kade along with 2020 Premiership Coach Adrian Pavese are currently Co-Coaching the defending Premiers with Kade to return as full time coach in 2022.

Klemke joined the Tigers in 2012 as player / coach and steered the club to NEAFL glory in a 30 point victory over the Sydney Swans which is still claimed to be one of the best flags the club has won.

Following a mass exodus of 35 players across the grades post NEAFL, Klemke got the team back to the Grand Final again in 2015 where he guided the club to another impressive Premiership by knocking off the previously undefeated Belconnen.

The following year he again got the team to the Grand Final to defend their Premiership but went down to Ainslie. Post 2016 Kade left the Tigers to take on the Head Coaching role at the Canberra Demon's in the new revamped NEAFL competition where he stayed until the competition was cancelled in 2020 that saw him return to Tigerland and play in his 3rd Premiership.

The club congratulates Kade on this achievement and he will be inducted into the 100 Club on Saturday the 21st August at the Annual 100 Club Function.
