The Tigers held it's 27th Annual Canberra Data Centres Late Long Luncheon last Friday
in front of over 230 guests at the Hellenic Club.
The day was even more special as we celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the event
Naming Rights Partnership between the Canberra Data Centres and the Queanbeyan Tigers. The club wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Greg Boorer and the team from CDC for their continued support of the event and the footy club as a whole.
Once again COVID was trying its hardest to upset the day with the withdrawals of Matthew Richardson and Cameron Mooney who couldn't leave Melbourne, however the day couldn't have gone better with former AFL Legend Peter "Spida" Everitt and Aussie Bogan & Comedian Chris Franklin entertaining the crowd and sharing plenty of laughs.
Added to this was the excellent MC work once again conducted by 1991 Premiership Player Troy Gray. Between the 3 boys, there wasn't a dry eye in the room due to laughter for about an two hours.
The Major Raffle was also drawn on the night for the big prize of $12k Cash being the
highlight. This was a reverse draw format with the last ticket out declared the winner. For the 2nd time in 4 years it was Club Captain Josh Bryce drawn out as the last ticket and took home the chocolates ($12k worth) when Peter Everitt drew Josh's name.
The club would like to thank everyone who bought tickets in the raffle, this is the club's major fundraiser and all funds received goes straight back into the players, volunteers and facilities at the tigers. Also a massive thank you to Sleepdoctor Fyhswick & Batemans Bay, ActewAGL and Country Butchery Bungendore for donating the minor prizes.
Finally, the club would like to sincerely thank all of our wonderful corporate tables who
attend the day as well as our many individual guests.
We hope you all enjoyed the afternoon and we look forward to seeing you all again in 2022. Below are the last 10 tickets drawn last Friday in the Major Raffle:
