Tigers Announce Inaugural Hannah Dunn Female Academy!

On the back of another successful Women’s and Youth Girls season the tigers are taking their Female Program to another level by announcing the details for their first ever Female Academy which will be named after club captain Hannah Dunn.

Hannah was an inaugural player when the team was formed in 2010 and since then was the first Female Tiger to play 100 First grade Games, is a 4 time Premiership Player and 2011 Jill Bright Medalist. Hannah was naturally embarrassed to have the academy named after her but no one has shown more resilience in getting where she is today and her passion, drive, want to improve and loyalty meant she was the perfect choice.

The Academy will be linked into the Women’s Seniors Preseason schedule and is open TO ALL PLAYERS from 15s/18s Youth Girls & Opens. It will run on Tuesday nights for 7 sessions (5 before Xmas & 2 in late January) and will be all skills and game sense based. This is to allow all players from beginners to experienced the chance to build and keep improving at the required pace.

All players will be exposed to some excellent coaches including current Women’s Head Coach Cheyne Webster, 26 year veteran coach Scott Taylor and current GWS Giants AFLW Assistant Coach Adrian Pavese.

There will be a $40 fee for the Academy and flyers will be sent out soon so please spread the word and we look forward to seeing you all then!
